![]() ![]() fcpx imported the folder as separate files which was useless as i already had separate files. Next, i tried to watch my video with absolutely no success. and it took an obscene amount of time to transfer them-several minutes at least, seeming no benefit to an ssd drive here but perhaps because of the c to usb-a cable. i have plenty of external storage, but not enough for many of those videos. but i was gobsmacked to see, when i connected the t5 to my mac again, the folder holding the files was over 10gb! that's obscene-20gb per minute of video. ![]() Of course i went right for the top with dng uhd 30fps 12-bit and shot my tv screen for 30s. i ejected from the mac and connected it to the fp which recognized it immediately also and i confirmed it because the video mode options for internal recording were no longer greyed out. Sadly my mac has no usb-c ports (although it has thunderbolt? ports) and i won't get the fastest read speed unless i can turn up a thunderbolt to c adapter. i even went to samsung support site to make sure i was using the latest version. is the software only for aes encryption? if so, i'll gladly forego it. my mac recognized it lightning quick, but the software on the t5 was incompatible with catalina. Next, the samsung t5 is an outstanding piece of kit! even if i end up not shooting 10-12 bit dng raw, i can use it for a half-dozen laptops and chromebooks and other devices. ![]() since i'd only ordered one of the fp ones from b&h and was wishing i'd ordered two, now i have 3 although only two chargers. First, a totally unrelated item which only applies if you have watson battery chargers which take adapter plates and you have a plate for the panasonic fz1000 or a model which uses the blc12 which is compatible with the fp bp-51. ![]()
